Belfast Star shine again

Conor Boyle not happy with LYIT's game vs Star but confident going into game vs Queens next week.

The second game on Wednesday night was LYIT away @ Belfast Star in St Malachy’s. It was a tough mid-week trip for the Donegal side but they were hoping to capitalise on Star’s recent poor form. However any hopes of an away win were in doubt from the first few minutes as LYIT got off to the worst possible start with Star going on a 15-0 run to begin the game. From here on in LYIT could never close the gaps as Star used their deep bench to keep fresh legs on the court and managed to get all 11 of their players on the score sheet.

The final score was 89-46 to Belfast Star with Fionntan O’Connor top scoring with 17 and Michael McKillop close behind on 15. Conor Boyle had 16 for LYIT and centre Ger Murray had 13.
