This weekend, Basketball Ireland Coaches are running a one-day clinic in Letterkenny. Adrian Fulton, Belfast Star & St Malachy’s College Belfast, will be delivering a session on ‘developing fundamentals’. Lorna Morrison, Sports Institute Northern Ireland (SINI) will provide a session on nutrition. The event is a great opportunity to develop your coaching tool-kit for a mere 10 euro, which includes lunch.

Lorna Morrison is a Performance Nutritionist at the Sports Institute Northern Ireland (SINI). Her work at present focuses on delivering and developing nutrition services for elite athletes within both team and individual sport environments in order to support their training. Outside of this, Lorna also works with individual athletes across a number of sports, and was performance nutritionist of the Sligo Senior GAA team last season. Lorna trained initially as a Dietician in Glasgow Caledonian University where she gained a distinction in her Post Graduate Diploma. She later achieved her Post Graduate Certificate in Sports and Exercise Nutrition at Coventry University. Before taking up her current post, Lorna worked in Altnagelvin Area Hospital, Belfast City Hospital and within the Nutrition Industry.’
Adrian Fulton Bio: Adrian Fulton is a former Senior Irish International and Captain who has played with and against some of the best in the world. He is a full-time P.E. Teacher at St.Malachy’s Belfast – the school that has produced many Irish International basketball players such as Paul Dick and Keelan Cairns. Adrian’s expertise and knowledge is renowned all over the country. He is currently Assistant Coach to Belfast Star Men’s Superleague Team. Adrian has coached at all levels and ages and his playing experience makes him one of the best coaches in the country today.
