Recently Foot Locker announced it’s Approved Heat campaign, a dedicated campaign to raise the profile of their basketball collection in the first few months of 2013 and highlight four straight weeks of exciting new premium product releases between the 2nd of February and the 2nd of March. To highlight the event they brought journalists from all over Europe to the O2 in London during the recent ‘London Live’ event to showcase the range of items on offer. Check the video below:
Michael Jordan is regarded as the greatest basketball player of all time (check our our recent Facebook post for proof!) and his legacy lives on in the latest Jordan brand releases. Hugely popular with both basketball players and sneaker heads the Jordan brand has a number of new releases during the ‘Approved Heat’ campaign. The original Jordan 3 hit the streets in 1988 and was the first shoe to feature the ‘Jumpman’ logo on the tongue. Now you can get your hands on this classic sneaker with the release of the Jordan 3 retro black/bright crimson. Like the Jordan 3, the Jordan 5 was a creation of innovative sneaker designer Tinker Hatfield. Celebrate his classic design with the Jordan 5 retro white/black/red 23rd anniversary edition. First released in 2006 the Jordan Spizike is a tribute to the relationship between MJ and legendary director Spike Lee. The Jordan Spizike black/red/filbert is exclusive to Foot Locker in Europe and is available now. The Jordan Spizike black/yellow is available from 2nd March.
The products released during the ‘Approved Heat’ campaign will include over 200 items, over 70 of which are sneakers. Approved Heat showcases a diverse range of names and styles such as Nike retro Jordans, adidas D Rose 3.5s and Reebok Kamikazes. Visiting Foot Locker in February is a must for those with a passion for sneakers, and a place to connect with people who have a shared enthusiasm for the culture and significance of the shoes.
