Forget Nemo… Where are the Sharks?

Bangor Sharks

To end the 2010-2011 season, the Bangor Sharks finished at the top of the BNI Division 1. However, having lost [Editor: hence, the Nemo reference] several key players over the past two seasons, the Sharks have struggled to maintain their dominance in the Division 1.

Wiktor Motykowski, starting centre, was the first to go last season, suffering from a torn ACL ligament. The Sharks then said goodbye to Gareth Saunders and Dave Milewicz, two versatile post players who played key roles within the team’s interior defence. This has left Dave Gardiner and Tim Moffet to pick up the slack on the boards for the North Down side.

Sharks have had a rough season to-date, winning only 4 of their first 11 games. However, Bangor is known for their [Editor: the Pickie-Fun-Park?] perseverance, which is reflected in some of the recent results, including a win against Letterkenny Heat [See video below]. The Sharks are currently 8-11.
