  • School: Mercy Mounthawk
  • Club: St.Brendans up to u18 level and then took a break last year to concentrate on schools basketball.
  • Height : 6’3
  • Player Type: Outside shooter with ability to take players off the dribble.
  • Past coaches: John Dowling, Tomas O’Hanlon (Father) and Jimmy Diggins.
  • Basketball goal: To get a chance to play abroad, more preferably in the US or England.
  • Favourite Irish player: Colin O Reilly.
  • Favourite Irish coach: Adrian Fulton.

Darragh feels like last year he really took his game to a new level after a lot of work over the off season. He averaged 16 points a game in all competitions and led Mercy to reached the All Ireland schools cup semi final where we were defeated by eventual cup winners St. Malachys’ Belfast in close game with O’Hanlon scoring 19 points in the defeat. In the All-Ireland league they also reached the last 8 only to be denied by eventual double winners St.Malachy’s, Belfast.


Niall is the Co-Founder of the Courtside Collective and . He was one of the founding members of North Star in 2002. He has coached at a variety of levels from kids to senior men's teams. He is currently coach of the LYIT National League team and women's college team.
